As a technician in the Detector Cooling Section, you will be in charge of the operation & maintenance and modification of the existing detector cooling systems and will contribute to the construction of the future ones.
Description
* Using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), plan, coordinate, supervise, check and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of the detector cooling systems for the Experiments.
* Perform operation activities to ensure an appropriate run of the cooling plants.
* Ensure regular liaison with Experiments' users for all matters related to the cooling systems.
* Propose and define the most appropriate solution to meet user needs in case of modification or renovation works.
* Technically coordinate contractors' maintenance and installation work in compliance with contractual clauses and technical standards.

Qualification required
Higher technical diploma in the field of mechanics or electro-mechanics, or equivalent * .
Experience and competencies
* Experience in maintenance, operation and installation work as well as in the technical coordination of external contractors on cooling and ventilation plants.
* Experience in the use of CMMS tools.
Knowledge of the following would be definite assets:
* Design of detector cooling systems.
* Refrigeration cycles and refrigerating machines.
* Low voltage network and switchboards.
* PLC programming.
The technical competencies required for this post are:
* Organisation, planning and control: coordination of activities involving different technical fields (electricity, civil engineering, heavy handling etc.).
* Project management.
* Maintenance and operation of water cooling plants, distribution network, compressed air production and distribution plants.
* Installation of water cooling plants, distribution networks, compressed air production and distribution plants.
