The EIB, the European Union's bank is seeking to recruit for the Project Preparation and Implementation Support area in its Advisory Services (ASD), at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a : Programme Management Analyst
This appointment will be made on a basis of a fixed term contract of 3 years
The EIB offers fixed-term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to business needs, with a possibility to convert to a permanent contract, subject to organisational requirements and individual performance.
Purpose
The successful candidate will provide programme management for EIB's Technical Advice (TA) programmes in the southern Mediterranean basin. These currently comprise:

MeHSIP-PPIF II is part of the EC-led Euro-Mediterranean Horizon 2020 initiative and provides project preparation and development support to priority pollution reduction infrastructure investment projects with the objective to promote adequate and sound water, wastewater and solid waste management in the Southern Mediterranean region. SNAP-T supports the preparation and implementation of priority transport infrastructure projects of regional and national significance, and in particular the development of the Trans-Mediterranean Transport Network (TMN-T) as well as other priorities such as logistics sector development, road safety and addressing threats to our common environment. Further sectoral programmes may be added in due course.
Operating network
The selected candidate will be part of a team in the Advisory Services Department. (S)he will report to the Operational Manager for the programmes and perform his/her duties in close cooperation with the MeHSIP II and SNAP-T sector experts, the Project Directorate (PJ), investment officers responsible for the EIB's operations in the relevant countries. Programme Management Analyst will also interact with EU Commision and with relevant external stakeholders.

(*) There may be certain flexibility on this requirement, but limited to particularly suitable candidates who may not yet be proficient in one of the two languages. If selected, such candidates will be hired on the condition that they build up rapidly knowledge of the relevant language and accept that their future career in the EIB may be subject to the attainment of sufficient proficiency in both of the Bank's working languages.
