Become the responsible strategic point for certain Next Generation business areas to create and steer the strategy, evaluate opportunities and development plans.
Lead and facilitate strategic & regulatory processes for certain Next Generation markets in cooperation with Next Generation’s operational and functional business units.
Support to provide a clear view on energy markets status and trends based on economic, regulator, technology and supply chain information to enable informed business decisions and charting of Next Generation ’s strategic direction.
Support the strategic review process in close cooperation with GM and Next Generation’s operational and functional business units.
Monitor competitor developments, analyze competitive benchmarks and screen technology and market developments for all business areas and their long term influence for Next Generation’s portfolio.
Evaluate strategic consistency of all Next Generation’s business and project opportunities (e.g. Partnering, Energy Solutions, Gate 1 and Gate 2 papers).
Foster and maintain working relationships with key internal Next Generation and E.ON stakeholders.

Excellent business or engineering degree, preferably post-graduate degree/MBA.
At least 2-3 years experience in the area of strategy, business development, corporate development or management consulting, ideally with a focus on the energy area.
Highly advanced analytical and conceptual skills, good complementary financial skills advantageous.
Ability to absorb and digest a great amount of information and being able to identify key messages and patterns supporting effective decision making and to serve short term ad-hoc requests.
Creative and open-minded individual with an ability to link theoretical scenarios with actual feasibility for the company.
Strong personal credibility, high level of social competence and balanced personality, strong team orientation.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
