In Alfa Laval, we experience a continuous demand for Fresh Water Generation (FWG) systems for Oil & Gas and Power industries, therefore, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to the FWG engineering team with potential to grow in new areas of responsibilities’.
As a part of the E&S PEP management team in Søborg our new manager will be responsible for the FWG department, which consists of 50+ highly skilled engineers, project managers and consultants, working closely together on process design, engineering, project management, delivery and commissioning of a project portfolio of approximately 70-80 MEUR.
The new manager will also have a global role, as technology centre manager supporting our business worldwide and, due to that be a part of the E&S PEP Unit management team. This position opens the opportunity for our new manager, in relatively short term, take a more global responsibility in developing and follow up on the strategy for our overall growth in the in the Oil and Gas business.
Your tasks:
- Responsible for the overall project results within your area;
- Daily management of the group incl. coordination with other departments inside and outside Engineering & Supply;
- Responsible for implementation of more efficient working methods, tools, standardisation and optimisation of design and costs;
- Increase flexibility and capacity in the organisation to match the business needs;
- Work strategically to develop the Alfa Vap Chemical Business and Engineering groups in Alfa Laval sites around the globe.
Your qualifications:
- You have a bachelor degree in engineering as minimum;
- Relevant experience as people manager and project manager;
- You work structured, analytic and systematic and are good at getting the overview on matters;
- You have experience with engineering processes from conceptual design to plant commissioning and understand how to make them lean;
- You are business minded and customer focused;
- Experience with high-level specification projects for the Oil & Gas industry is not a must but an advantage.
