Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Deputy Chief of Party position on a USAID-funded agribusiness development program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Activity Goal: To assist BiH in expanding its economy and preparing for accession to the EU by improving the competitiveness of the country’s agricultural producers and agribusinesses. The project will support activities that increase environmentally sustainable agricultural production and processing and increase domestic and export sales with the ultimate goal of contributing to the country's economic growth and reducing rural poverty.

Responsibilities:

*Support the Chief of Party (COP) to ensure that the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and progress of all program activities are in accordance with established strategies and meet the goals and objectives of targeted communities, beneficiary groups, USAID, and the Government of BiH.

*Provide technical expertise and manage technical staff focusing on areas such as agribusiness, enhanced agricultural production, post-harvest handling, storage, and processing, improved market linkages and agribusiness, institutional capacity development and EU integration and standards.

*Ensure that cross-cutting themes such as gender, climate change, and youth engagement are fully integrated into programming and activities.

*Provide mentoring, coaching, and supervision for direct technical reports.

Qualifications:

*Advanced degree in agronomy, agricultural economics, agribusiness, agricultural policy, international development, or other relevant fields;

*Minimum of 7 years of experience in the development sector, managing and/or providing technical assistance to USAID-funded projects, preferably in the Balkans; professional experience specifically in BiH preferred;

*Demonstrated experience managing complex donor-funded programs;

*Experience with private sector agribusiness management preferred;

*Qualified BiH nationals are particularly encouraged to apply.
