Chief Of Party, Bosnia And Herzegovina Fostering Agricultural Markets Activity

Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a potential Chief of Party position on a USAID-funded agribusiness development program in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

Activity Goal: To assist BiH in expanding its economy and preparing for accession to the EU by improving the competitiveness of the country’s agricultural producers and agribusinesses. The project will support activities that increase environmentally sustainable agricultural production and processing and increase domestic and export sales with the ultimate goal of contributing to the country's economic growth and reducing rural poverty.

Responsibilities:

*Oversee overall implementation of the project, providing technical direction and financial and administrative oversight to all project activities.

*Serve as the principal link between Tetra Tech and USAID, other donors and projects, local implementing partners, Government of BiH officials and key stakeholders in the agricultural sector in BiH.

*Ensuretimely completion of technical activitiesand submittal of all project deliverables.

Qualifications:

*Advanced degree in agronomy, agricultural economics, agribusiness, international development, public policy or other relevant fields;

*Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience as a Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party and/or Project Director/Manager on large donor-funded projects; experience on USAID-funded projects preferred;

*Minimum seven (7) years of experience with successful agribusiness development programs; some private sector experience with agribusiness development preferred;

*Professional experience in the Balkans required; professional experience specifically in BiH preferred;

*Fluency in English required;

*Qualified BIH nationals are particularly encouraged to apply
