| Job description: | Senior Financial Software Engineer Limassol Our client is a Global investment Firm that deploys quantitative strategies with a long and successful track record. This is an exciting opportunity to join the specialist Execution Systems team focused on the development of the best research and trading infrastructure The position will be based in the company’s offices in Limassol Cyprus The successful candidate will work within the team researching and developing algorithmic trading and execution strategies but also participating in the ongoing development and management of the firm’s cutting edge high frequency trading systems platform. He/she will also be involved in the ongoing development and operation of the in-house performance analysis systems and participate in the 24 hours trading rotation. The role will involve close communication with portfolio management, execution systems management, internal operations and business management and also the network of brokers and service providers. The ideal candidate will have excellent, broad computing skills and good mathematical ability. In addition, he will have experience in meeting deadlines with previous involvement in a similar area in the finance industry in general and execution experience in particular. Our client is seeking to recruit a candidate with exceptional skills and qualifications, only candidates with the following disciplines will be considered. PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Experience in researching and developing algorithmic strategies Knowledge of equity, futures or FX micro-structure Experience in implementing low-latency trading systems Excellent core understanding and low-level programming experience in one object-oriented programming language (preferably C# or Java) Experience in statistical analysis using Matlab, Python or R The following skills will be an advantage Experience of FIX protocol Experience of SQL and relational databases Experience of handling market data e.g. Reuters, ActivFinancial, Bloomberg Job Description To further develop & support the company’s geographically distributed electronic trading platform. To join the team in charge of the daily setting up, running, monitoring and troubleshooting the trading system which operates 24 hours a day and which trades equities futures and spot FX in Asia, Europe and the North America. To understand complex trading processes and systems and to help the ongoing development of control parameters, to ensure reliability, consistency, process quality and control.
