Within IMEC CMORE Technology Department, our group focus on the process development of innovative sensing elements to enable new applications in the consumer, automotive and medical market. Current activities varies from bio-sensing technologies like neuro probes, DNA sequencing and photonics to microsystems like thermopiles, pico speakers and pressure sensors. We follow a multidisciplinary approach and develop the process technology in strong collaboration with our design and application departments. We look for an enthusiastic engineer to support our innovative process integration work for realizing new sensors and for enabling chips with innovative functionalities.

Job description
We are looking for a young engineer with basic experience on process integration, familiar with tools and processes for micro-fabrication. The candidate will interface with engineers, working in 200mm pilot line, responsible for process step development to realize prototypes and demonstrate their functionality.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Execute process experiments to develop new process steps, modules, follow up lots to achieve functional prototypes 
- Use dedicated software to communicated with engineers and operators working in 200mm pilot line
- Perform in line characterization such as XSEM and optical inspections, elipsometry and stress measurements.
- Analyse in line and end of line metrology and characterization data to select optimal process steps and conditions
- Summarise and report the results of experiments internally 
- Work efficiently in a multidiscipline environments with engineers and scientists focusing on design, systems and applications aspects.

Profile
- You have a Master’s or preferably a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. 
- Experience on process development is a plus. 
- You have basic experience in process technology, with good knowledge in the deposition, etch, cmp, lithography areas. 
- You show a hands- on approach with excellent engineering skills and a personal drive to achieve project goals.
- You are able to take initiative and work independently, while being part of a team. 
- Since you will be working in a highly international environment and will be maintaining a good contact with colleagues and co-workers from all over the world, fluency in English is essential.
