The program Lisbon Mathematics PhD (LisMath, for short) aims at preparing high level researchers in the field of Mathematics by bundling the training and research expertise of two of the existing PhD programs in Mathematics in Lisbon, namely

- Doctoral Program in Mathematics at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST)
- Doctoral Program in Mathematics at Faculdade de Ciências (FCUL).

LisMath is supported by eight research units belonging to either IST or FCUL.

The LisMath Scholarships have the duration of four years. They cover:

- a monthly stipend of 980 € (tax free);
- the tuition fees of the doctoral program;
- social security;
- basic health insurance.
