Description
As a software engineer in the Digital Library Technology Section, you will contribute to the development, operation, support and maintenance of the digital research data repository based on Invenio within the EUDAT2020 project ( eudat.eu ), building a Collaborative Data Infrastructure for Research in Europe and beyond.
This will involve:
* Contributing to the configuration and operation of the B2SHARE service, a collaboration platform where groups and communities can share data in a secured way as well as publish long-tail research data openly.
* Participating in the design, development and maintenance of EUDAT2020 objectives relative to storage and retrieval of datasets in B2SHARE; integrate all contributed code into the underlying Invenio Software.
* Extending the customizable features of B2SHARE and enhancing the API to further support the seamless integration within community environments.
* Developing fine-grained authorization features, allowing users to not only make data fully public, but also to restrict the access of data objects to specific groups defined by users.
* Collaborating closely with the team at CERN involved in the development of the Invenio open source digital library platform.
Qualification required
Master's degree in the field of computer science, or equivalent.
