Summary of Responsibilities:

The functions mission is to drive the competitiveness of Global Operations (G-OPS) in terms of stability, cost, agility, and compliance.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

 

- Establish and evolve a Continuous Improvement System (3i) for processes to achieve increased agility and stability

- Drive end-to-end Process Orientation and the change towards a Lean company culture (Lean IT / Lean Leadership)

- Ensure end-to-end management (define, analyse and maintain) and measurement of the G-OPS operational processes

- Derive and drive a portfolio of Continuous Improvement measures and projects across G-OPS in close cooperation with the G-OPS senior leadership team and the process owners within the Delivery Units and drive the projects in this portfolio

- Be accountable for Global Operations competitiveness in terms of agility and stability

 

- Lead a team of process and business consultants to achieve the responsibilities summarized below

- Maintain, enhance and communicate the G-OPS Continuous Improvement System (3i, based on Lean IT)

- Define the required process outcomes and targets to demonstrate improvement in the processes

- Analyze the primary Global Operations processes related to agility and stability, and derive a portfolio of projects to improve these processes

- Facilitate process communities (global, virtual teams) required to improve the processes related to agility and stability

- Champion the adoption of Lean IT with Global Operations. Act a spokesperson for Lean IT within the Amadeus Group and in public forums

- Put in place the necessary Lean IT processes, methods and communities in Global Operations to ensure that defined outcomes are being achieved

- Build and drive the related piece of the G-OPS project portfolio together with the G-OPS divisions

 

Requirements:

- University degree or PhD within Business Administration, Computer Science, or comparable

- Excellent analytical skills paired with entrepreneurial thinking and acting

- Ability to think conceptually, focus on goals, plan and organize

- Strong customer and service orientation

- Excellent team management skills. Strong capabilities to execute in virtual team set ups

- Excellent communications skills with senior management and peers

- Deep understanding of methods and concepts driving operational and organizational competitiveness (like Lean, Six Sigma)

- Proven track record in driving transformational changes (à Implement E2E process optimization methods, foster mindset and ensure sustainable execution)

- Eagerness to work with people of other cultures

- Project experience, particularly in international, project management and IT projects

- Excellent English language skills are a must; German is an advantage

- 8+ years experience in process and organizational improvements

- 3+ years experience in successfully managing an international team

- Proven record of excellent performance
