The PhD focuses on the inspection of the additive manufacturing process operated by laser or electron on metallic powder. The purpose is to develop a non destructive methodology, in-line, which will allow the supervision of the manufacturing process and also warrant the absence of flaw. The final aim is to enable an in-line correction in case of anomaly detection. The foreseen technology to achieve this relies on the use of contactless ultrasound generated by laser and its integration to the manufacturing process. The purpose of the PhD is to evaluate these methodologies, on the basis of modeling and experimental study.
