Doctoral Student / Research Assistant

The doctoral student / research assistant will work on the supply chain project “Analysis of Bargaining Power in the Aerospace Supply Chain”, which has been defined and will be conducted in close collaboration with Airbus.

The research is aiming at developing and applying mathematical models (e.g., game theoretic) to real life bargaining situations in industrial supply chains, and it will contain a field research element at Airbus facilities.

After an initial orientation phase at the German Airbus headquarters in Hamburg, research will be conducted at the Institute for Supply Chain Management (in Oestrich-Winkel), in close collaboration with the existing research team. The institute provides generous funding to support research activities and attendance at international conferences.

We are seeking applicants with a solid quantitative university training in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics), and with an excellent command of the English language.
