35 New PhD Studentships

Kingston University has established an international reputation for high quality, innovative research – a reputation confirmed by the recent REF2014 results which show that the University has world-leading research across all its five faculties.

Kingston is now seeking to make a substantial investment in 35 new full-time PhD studentships beginning in 2015-16 and is looking for students with expertise that matches its areas of research excellence - studentships will be available across the five faculties.

Funding details:

Fee level of sponsorship UK/EU fee only – currently £3996 for 2015/16

International candidates selected for interview would need to demonstrate that they can fund the difference in fees for each year of registration – currently £9004 for 2015/16.

Stipend: £16,057

Eligibility: a postgraduate Master’s degree or a first/upper second class honours degree or equivalent in a subject relevant to your proposed research programme.

If you are not from an English speaking country or have not studied at a UK university before you will need to provide proof of Internet-based IELTS at a minimum overall score of 6.5 (or equivalent qualification). For IELTS you will also need a minimum score of 5.5 in each component.

Expected start date: October 2015

Duration: 3-years

Deadline for applications: GMT mid-day 20th March 2015

You should assume that your application has been unsuccessful if you have not heard from the University by 4-weeks after the closing date.

Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed 20-24 April 2015.
