The working environment
The "Severe Accidents" Group, which makes part of the "Modelisation & Calculations" Competence Centre, is in charge of the following activities:
- Severe Accidents Analyses
- Severe Accident Management Guidance Support
- PSA Level 2
- Hydrogen Risk Assessment
- Severe Accidents Features Implementation Studies
Your function
- You perform Severe Accidents analyses with the MELCOR and/or ASTEC code, in support to existing nuclear power plants or in the framework of developing projects
- You provide expertise in Severe Accidents for TE's clients and defend the studies in front of the Safety Authorities which is issuing the exploitation permits of nuclear installations
- You participate in international projects for the development of new types of nuclear reactors, in regard to Severe Accidents issues and features implementation.
Qualifications
- You have a master degree in Engineering
- You have a marked interest for the energy sector and for high-level expertise
- You have good knowledge of English, willing to learn French and/or Dutch
- You are dynamic, creative, good communicator and ready to work in team
- A master degree in nuclear engineering or a prior experience in the nuclear field, although not required is clearly an advantage
- A first experience in Severe Accidents and/or the knowledge of the code MELCOR, EVNTRE and/or ASTEC is an advantage .
