VASCO Data Security is looking for an “Embedded Software Development Engineer” to join its R&D Hardware department in Wemmel. This team develops mass-production ready hardware authentication devices (including tokens and readers).
The “Embedded Software Development Engineer” is actively involved in the complete life cycle of our product development (specification, design, development, testing and maintenance).
Responsibilities
The Embedded Software Development Engineer is responsible for the product development and quality:
- Analyze and design:Assist in Technical Product Specification;
- Development:Design and develop products according to the specifications;
- Perform the unit tests;
- Perform product maintenance and bug solving.
Profile
- You have a Master degree in software engineering;
- You have several years of experience in low-level embedded software development with a strong interest in electronics;
- Required functional knowledge/experience:Low level programming;
- Assembler, C;
- Basic electronics;
- 8-bit microcontrollers;
- 32-bit platforms;
- Embedded systems limitations;
- Desirable:
- Affinity with mass production;
- Knowledge of cryptography;
- Knowledge of USB, I²C, RTC, BLE;
- Experience with development of device drivers under Windows, Linux, Mac;
- You are precise, quality-minded and result driven;
- You are a problem solver with good analytical skills;
- You are a team player and you have a learning attitude;
- You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is an important asset.
