Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing steering signals to the E.ON group (energy and capacity market prices etc.) and for delivering high quality quantitative and qualitative market forecasts/ insights regarding E.ON's international markets;
- Lead a diverse, highly skilled team with team members located in E.ON Regional Units to ensure compilation of market assessments for short-/ mid- and long-term;
- Provide general market views, analytical deep-dives and sensitivities/ scenarios to support stakeholder decisions and support relevant processes like MTP, Gate process, hedging strategies, business development, risk assessment etc.;
- Transfer analysis support into commercial trading and optimization decisions and communicate results to other stakeholders in the E.ON group;
- Initiate enhancements of our fundamental power market models in order to continuously improve commercial decision making;
- Establish excellent working relationships and collaboration within the E.ON group to ensure cross commodity/ interdisciplinary knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Relevant education in engineering, economics, mathematics or other relevant fields;
- Al least 5 years of professional experience in the field of energy markets and within the trading environment;
- At least 3 years of experience in modelling power markets;
- Strong, relevant contact within the power and renewable energy industry;
- Team player with strong analytical and numerical skills;
- Proactive personality and the willingness to actively contribute to the new set-up of market analysis;
- Confident appearance with excellent communication skills and proficient use of English in business context.
