The UNOPS development team is to provide the organization with tools and resources to compliment and support the corporate Intranet, corporate Website and UNOPS' ERP system in alignment with the UNOPS technology platform and ICT strategy. System development domains include eProcurement, finance, knowledge management, HR tools, and project management. Scrum is used as the project framework.

Functional Responsibilities

Reporting to the ICT Development team lead, the SharePoint developer will work to deliver innovative tools for UNOPS' Sharepoint-2013 based corporate solutions in a SCRUM-based development framework.

Functional Responsibilities include

  • Develop Sharepoint based solutions that support corporate business systems infrastructure;
  • Build integration tools between Sharepoint document libraries/lists with ERP system and Asp.net based tools
  • Develop systems that adhere to the product and service needs of internal clients.
  • Implement solutions compliant with UNOPS solution approach
  • Proactively solicit and discuss user feedback and support and extend applications as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required

Education/Experience/Language requirements

  • Secondary Education Required. University Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology and Information Systems or Management Sciences desirable.
  • A minimum of 6 years progressive experience building data-driven web applications. Higher level of education may be accepted in lieu of years of work expereince.
  • Proven sound knowledge in the following: ASP.NET, MS SQL.
  • Experience with Scrum/ Agile development an asset
  • At least 2 years experience with development on SharePoint products.
