Role Overview
Our Land & Geotechnical team provides a wide range of geotechnical engineering services to the industry, mining, power, property, oil and gas, water and waste markets.
We are working on a range of challenging projects in these markets and due to increased demand for our services, we are looking to grow our team in Newcastle upon Tyne through the key appointment of a Senior Geotechnical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
You will work on a wide range of infrastructure projects, typically in multi disciplinary teams. Your tasks will include preparing desk studies, designing and managing ground investigations, preparing geotechnical design reports and foundation designs, as well as earthworks designs, pile designs, retaining wall designs and undertaking slope stability analyses.
Role Requirements
- You will have a BEng / MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc / MSci in Geology. In addition, you will also have an MSc in either Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology.
- You will be a Chartered Engineer or approaching Chartered status and have extensive experience of geotechnical design.
- You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in desk studies, ground investigations, geotechnical design reports, foundation designs, earth works designs, pile designs, retaining wall designs and slope stability analyses.
- Some experience in either oil and gas or water sectors will be beneficial
- You must have excellent consultancy, communication and team working skills.
