Purpose of the job
Seats competency in the CTO. The main objective is to support the learning organization with regards to supplier development, subsystem selection, R&T coordination, Strategy creation – maintenance, and improve the performance of the Seats subsystems in all BT products.
Key responsibilities
- Provides expertise to the Engineering community
- Sharing best practice, providing mistakes to re-occur in the field
- Executes development of Subsystem Platform designs & architectures
- Active development of the Seats design solutions
- Implements provided Subsystem Platform designs & architectures
- This includes customer and design aspirations
- Implements Subsystem Platforms Strategies
- Fosters Expertise and Network
- Key knowledge carrier about Seats subsystems in BT and industry wide
Qualifications
Education
- BS, MSc or PhD in Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant experience required
- Typically minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Level expertise within his/her technical competency area
- Technical competency area expertise recognized within his/her peers (SME 1 or equivalent)
- Experienced in managing technical stakeholders
- Thorough knowledge of the Market requirements, customer aspirations and supply base capabilities
Specialized or cross-functional knowledge/relevant experience required by the position/role
- Excellent knowledge of BT tools, methods and processes
- Good knowledge about PM and Procurement processes
Language skills
- Fluent in English, German and French
