Your mission
As a modelling engineer, you work in a team to solve complex problems to improve business and production planning. Your tasks are the following:
- Understand the problem or search for the improvement
- Model it in a mathematical way
- Develop algorithms
- Implement it in software
- You work closely together with another modelling engineer & production.
Your experience
- Phd in Engineering (Mathematics, Electrical, ...)
- Capable of high intellectual thinking, but in relation to real industrial or logistical problems
- Good organization skills and able to work within given deadlines
- Programming, especially in C++ & .NET, strong knowledge of object-oriented concepts
- Knowledge of mathematical optimization techniques, such as constraint programming, linear programming, mixed integer programming, metaheuristics , ...
- A team player who can also work autonomously
- Fluent in Dutch and English
