Academics, journalists and professionals with an interest in Turkey are invited to apply for the upcoming round of the Mercator IPC Fellowship Program. The 2015/16 fellowships begin 1 September 2015 and the deadline for applications is 6 April 2015. The Mercator-IPC Fellowship Program is part of the IPC - Sabancı University-Stiftung Mercator Initiative, a strategic partnership between Sabancı University and Stiftung Mercator. The program aims to strengthen academic, political, and social ties between Turkey and Germany, as well as between Turkey and Europe by facilitating excellent scientific research and hands-on policy work. It is based on the premise that acquisition of knowledge and the exchange of people and ideas are preconditions for meeting the challenges of an increasingly globalized world in the 21st century.

The Mercator-IPC Fellowship Program allows international scholars, journalists, professionals and civil society activists especially but not exclusively from Germany to work on academic and practical projects at IPC in three thematic areas:

- EU/German-Turkish relations
- Climate change
- Education
