Your new role - challenging and future-oriented

• You develop system requirement specifications and higher-level system concepts for Multi-terminal DC Grid Systems.
• You perform design calculations in the steady-state and transient time ranges for the basic design of HVDC.
• You provide single line diagrams and system design studies.
• You support the development of the control and protection systems.
• You co-ordinate the technical interfaces and you co-operate with internal staff and external partners.
• You contribute to and collaborate with other R&D projects.

Your qualifications - solid and appropriate

• You graduated in electrical power engineering in due time and additionally you have several years of professional experience.
• Solid theoretical electrotechnical knowledge, good knowledge of high voltage power systems technology in general and high voltage DC technology as well as power electronics in particular
• Good knowledge in the field of specification and calculation of power systems as well as regarding requirements for subsystems like HVDC converter, transformers and switchgear.
• Project experience from handling of major customer projects or R&D projects
• Work experience in using power system modelling tools (preferably PSCAD and Matlab/Simulink)
• You are fluent in English, German is beneficial
• You are motivated and pro-active and have very good analytical skills. Additionally, you have an interdisciplinary approach, inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team as well as self-sufficiently. You are customer oriented.
