Fully funded PhD positions in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics

Description

The Fluid Mechanics Research Laboratory (www.fmrl.uwaterloo.ca) at the University of Waterloo has several fully funded graduate research positions at MASc and PhD level. The positions are associated with several exciting research projects in the area of applied fluid mechanics and aerodynamics. Based on individual preferences of the candidates, there is a unique option to undertake research in direct collaboration with one of our industrial partners. The positions are open for May 2015 or Sept. 2015.

The research projects will involve investigations in our state of the art research facilities, using cutting edge flow diagnostic tools, and/or numerical modeling with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Through the course of your research work, you will become proficient in advanced fluid mechanics, modern experimental and numerical techniques, engineering design, data acquisition, and signal processing. In addition, you will get a chance to develop close connections with R&D departments in industry. The acquired analytical and applied skills will be essential for your future career in either industry or academia. You can find out more about our current research projects and the research team on our website (www.fmrl.uwaterloo.ca).
