Job description
As a High-Speed Photonic Device Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Generating, developing and demonstrating novel device concepts to push the state of the art in high-speed (>25Gb/s) silicon photonics for data- and telecommunication applications.
Modeling and designing high-speed optical devices in imec’s Integrated Silicon Photonics Platform (iSiPP).
Defining test plans and methodology, performing high-speed photonic device characterization and capturing learning to support design and process improvements.
Driving project execution by interacting with photonic and 3-D integration engineers, RF circuit designers, and test & reliability engineers.
Reporting to internal stakeholders, including peers across team/group/unit and to external stakeholders including imec partners and customers.
Reporting to the scientific community at conferences or in scientific journals.
Staying on top of the state of the art within your competence domain and benchmark imec’s solutions.
