Your Job

The position covers international business development in the areas of Conventional and Renewable Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, System Planning & Development, LNG & Gas storage and transport.

Objective

Increase Company’s market share, by acquisition of new customers or sustain/increase projects share with actual customers.

Key activities

  • Setting up and implement sales and marketing plans for global growth.
  • Developing and updating budgets, work schedules and business plans.
  • Identifying business opportunities, obtaining tender invitations and successfully negotiate contracts.
  • Identifying and developing a close relationship with existing and potential customers.
  • Developing your relationship network with other potential local partners and stakeholders (engineering companies, contractors, investors, architects, promotors …) for teaming up when needed.
  • Establishing of partnership agreements.
  • Identifying product development needs and enhancement ideas to meet market requirements and user’s expectations.
  • Preparing marketing material (documentation, presentations …) to customers and partners related to the general group’s business activity and to specific technical products.
  • Attending key conferences and meetings.
  • Tendering activities: prospecting, prequalification files, support to proposals and negotiations,
  • Solving and/or reporting issues with regards to clients and /or ongoing projects (before, during or after project execution).Ensuring compliance with the business development processes and strategies.

Qualifications

  • You have a Master Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • You speak fluently English and French. Knowledge of other languages (Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, …) is welcome.
  • You have at least 5 years experience in managing business-to-business relations, supported by a proven track record.
  • Some years of experience in International Sales or in Sales to IFI’s is an asset.
  • You are able to understand the energy business sector.
  • You have the sense of priorities and you have an analytical mind.
  • You are good at listening to the customers, you have a naturally customer focus.
  • You are an autonomous person; you can properly assess and anticipate the consequences of your decisions.
  • You are pro-active, dynamic, motivated and creative. You take the initiative to acquire new knowledge.
  • You have a great capacity for multicultural human relations, analysis and synthesis.
  • You are good at planning simultaneous assignments and you are a good organiser, even in unexpected circumstances.
  • You are a good team player with an eye for details.
  • You have good writing skills.
  • You are highly familiar with IT tools, amongst them Word, Excel and internet applications.
  • You are prepared to travel regularly.
