Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks will include:
- Managing the Assembly & Test Avionics organisation unit (around 30 employees) from a technical and disciplinary point of view
- Being responsible for planning, handling orders, managing assembly and checking assemblies and systems for use within Avionics
- Coordinating collaboration with the departments responsible for development with the aim of implementing a Design for Manufacturing (DfX) process
- Taking responsibility for planning and implementing Lean activities in order to ensure ongoing production optimisation and product improvement
- Producing integration concepts and performing preliminary work for cross-site production concepts
- Assisting with acquisitions and offer creation
- Performing organisational and supervisory duties as part of your leadership role
- Ensuring the work results of the department with regard to quality, cost and deadlines
- Continuously further developing the department and shaping its future with regard to production systems and innovative methods and processes
- Ensuring personnel planning and development within the department
- Contributing to the strategic alignment of the Airborne Integration department and its systematic implementation in the specific department
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and qualifications:
- Educated to a degree level in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of modern production methods (Lean production, manufacturing control, time management, etc.), order handling within Electronic
- Production, and of Airbus Defence & Space processes
- Knowledge of SAP and MS Office
- Several years of management experience
- Fluent level of English and German is required; knowledge of French would be an advantage
