For our client an international organization are we looking for a Quality & IMS Manager.

As European Quality and IMS Manager you will define and drive the implementation of the Quality strategy and quality operations design & capabilities through our chemical manufacturing and logistics network. You will support the chemical sites in delivering Quality improvement programmes and ensure that actionable plans are in place within the region. You will have a dual reporting line to the Director Manufacturing Europe and the Executive Director Quality Europe.

Main responsibilities

  • Define and drive implementation of IMS (Quality/Hygiene);
  • Pro-actively manage the measurement of the Supply Chain quality performance and ensure that regional/local improvement plans are defined and implemented;
  • Review key Quality projects and monitor progress till full implementation – full compliance;
  • Together with R&D, definition and validation of standards methods (i.e. QC methods) as well as monitoring their implementation throughout supply network;
  • Delivery of the Quality strategy (including contract manufacturing and suppliers) and leadership of the Regional Quality program(s) into an actionable plan;
  • Develop, coordinate and roll out Quality tools such as integrated management systems in terms of process/procedures, QA protocols, as well as standards;
  • Selection and implementation of IT tools supporting the Quality strategy;
  • Development and maintenance of Auditing tool(s), agreeing/setting annual audit program;
  • Development and ownership of the continuous improvement performance activities;
  • Validation and monitoring of Quality improvement action plans implementation;
  • Setting/Agreement of Quality KPI targets with regions and tracking of performance.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in Quality, Chemistry, Food, FMCG international project management and/or general manufacturing/supply chain operational management;
  • 3-5 years of experience in QEHS management;
  • Proven effective implementation of management systems;
  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Quality/Chemistry/Food/FMCG required;
  • Strong English and at least one other major language (Du/Spa/Fra/Ger) communication skills;
  • Strong leadership capabilities in a globally dispersed matrix organization environment;
  • Capability to manage changes, manage multiple projects and drive for performance/results;
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct accurate root cause analysis, set corrective actions;
  • Good communication skills to communicating with all departments within the organization and from shop floor to senior management.
