Within the Research Department of Medical Information Technologies,research group VisieLab from the University of Antwerp (UA) is looking for a

PhD Researcher in the field of Hyperspectral Image Processing (m/f)

The Vision Lab ( visielab.uantwerpen.be/ ) is a dynamic research group of the physics department at the University of Antwerp. The Vision Lab has unique expertise in the development of image processing techniques for remote sensing with specific applications in vegetation monitoring.

The current position involves the development of new analysis techniques for hyperspectral image data, with applications of vegetation monitoring in remote sensing and close-range imaging.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 • You have a master degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Sciences;

• You have a strong background in mathematics and interest in scientific research;

• You have specific expertise in one or more of the following fields:

  • Image Processing
  • Remote Sensing
  • Machine Learning

• You have profound programming skills in C++ and/or Matlab;

• You have excellent communication skills (English);

• You want to work in a team of researchers.
