To provide day to day management and supervision of materials and process improvement project(s).
Description
Essential requirements:
PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry (or related discipline) on the processing of pharmaceutical products.
A minimum of three years’ industrial/research experience in a relevant area.
Ability to supervise other researchers and experience of management of research projects.
The successful candidate will also have the necessary skills and experience to evaluate and improve materials processing techniques such that materials processing parameters can be optimized with respect to specific material characteristics.
Ability to liaise and collaborate with other researchers in the University and Industrial clients.
Desirable requirements:
Experience of managing and conducting research and development projects as well as a shown competency in publishing research, intellectual property creation and report writing.
Experience of Industrial Research & Development and be fully aware of the importance of Intellectual Property management and protection.
Demonstrable experience/knowledge of the innovation process would be a major advantage.
Demonstrable experience in industrial pharmaceutical engineering.
Demonstrable experience in research funding applications
Experience in the industrial application of process modelling
