The TaM group of the University of Geneva is looking for a PhD student to do applied research, either on indoor positioning, or on mobile sensors, to create innovative solutions for Android smartphones. Typical projects include navigation inside museums or hospitals, fall detection for seniors, and object localisation.

Profile:

• Strong skills in computer science
• Good experience in Java or Android development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Meticulous, rigorous and very well organized
• Strong analytical abilities and problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Interest for agile development methodologies
• And the most important: passionate and highly motivated
