Telecom Bretagne (www.telecom-bretagne.eu) has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in the field of secure internet communication services. We invite applications from researchers who hold a PhD in Security of Networking and Computer Science.
Description
The successful candidate will work on an European project funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and dedicated to the study of the next generation webRTC-based networks. This project gathers a consortium involving several global telecom operators, SMEs, Universities and research institutes. It aims to explore, design and prototype a new secure Web-centric P2P Service Architecture enabling dynamic trusted relationships among distributed applications supporting use-cases such as conversational, contextual and social real-time communications, M2M/IoT and content oriented services.
She/He will be responsible for developing a theoretical framework to investigate and solve security issues associated to the project. Experimental assessment will be carried on a platform developed, maintained and enriched during the project. The contributions to the project will involve interactions and consultations with the project partners, writing of project reports and academic publications, and presentation of results.
The applicant should demonstrate the following skills and expertise :
- Excellent communication and writing skills in english
- Strong background about Internet services architectures and security
- Good knowledge of formal methods
- Good programming knowledge (HTML5, JavaScript, Java, C++, ...)
The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract for 9 months with possible extension depending on performance. Location Telecom Bretagne, Campus of Rennes (www.telecom-bretagne.eu/about/rennes-campus/).
