Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in next generation compressed sensing for MRI, as part of the SpaRTaN training network.

One PhD position under a European Union Marie Curie Initial Training program (FP7-PEOPLE-2013-ITN) SpaRTaN is available jointly at the Institute for Digital Communications and the Brain Research Imaging Centre at the University of Edinburgh, UK SpaRTaN. The selected candidate will study the next generation of compressed sensing (CS) techniques for accelerated acquisition in MRI. The project will explore the benefits of CS advanced imaging modalities, such as quantitative imaging, MR spectroscopy and diffusion tensor imaging.

Highly motivated, excellent candidates should ideally hold a valid Masters degree with a specialisation in medical imaging and/or signal processing and should be eligible for immediate admission on the PhD programme at the University of Edinburgh.
