| Job description: | THE COMPANY: MEKEL is an Engineering & Contracting company specialized in the field of water and wastewater treatment. Our scope of delivery extends from consulting, planning, design, installation, commissioning to the operational management and maintenance of plants and systems. Currently, we are looking to expand our team with a CAD Designer. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This role is part of a team responsible for the company’s mechanical, electrical, process drawings. RESPONSIBILITIES -Responsible for the mechanical, electrical, process drawings from sketches, design layout, and verbal instructions -Creates tender, installation, as-built drawings -Knows and applies common engineering standards and procedures -Preparation of Bill of Quantities -Responsible for proceeding with ordering the correct quantities of materials needed for each project in a timely manner -Interacts with suppliers -Preparation of proposals -Ensure safe work practices are followed -Responsible of reporting a problem immediately to supervisor and assist supervisor when needed -Be flexible to work any shift, weekends, holidays and standby that is mandatory for some assignments -Other duties as allocated by the management within the physical constraints of the job |

| Qualifications required: | QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: -A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, process drawings -Relevant University degree - Excellent working knowledge of mechanical parts as well as computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD -Excellent knowledge of PC, Windows, MS Office -Working knowledge of mechanical principles -Basic knowledge in water and wastewater treatment operations -Fluent in Greek and English (reading & writing) -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment -Excellent communication skills when working with various teams -High level of skill in planning and working to tight deadlines -Must be high-initiative, self-directed, critical thinker, able to manage a widely varying workload -Team-player |
