| Job description: | MN Desalination Project is a consortium providing advanced comprehensive water solutions. MN Desalination Co Ltd. has been awarded by the Water Development Department of the Ministry of Agriculture Cyprus, the contract to Renovate and Operate in Larnaca and Limassol desalination plants for 20 years. We are currently seeking to recruit staff to join the Plant Commissioning team and continue as part of the Plant Operation and Maintenance team. (A) POSITION: Production Managers (DES 01-09/15) Job Description: Responsible for the Plant Maintenance and Operations, supervising a mutli-skilled team of shift operators and maintenance team. Reporting to the Plant Manager. Qualification, Experience, Duties & Responsibilities: • BSc Degree or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical / Process Engineering or similar • At least 5 years’ experience in similar / process industry and supervisory role responsible for plant production and the shift operators / maintenance teams • Manage engineers and technicians of varying disciplines • Responsible for preparations for the smooth and efficient plant performance • Be able to work under pressure and deliver targeted performances • Be prepared to carry out hands on work where needed and lead by example maintenance team. • Experienced in water treatment plants will be considered an advantage The right candidate must also have the ability to communicate well at all levels within the Project. In addition, the candidate must possess good planning, presentation and organizational skills, the skills to identify quality deficiencies and implement improvement, solve problems at site and achieve results through motivation and team working. (B) Mechanical Engineers (DES 02-09/14) Job description: Supervise and co-ordinate installation, testing (supervise final acceptance of all mechanical works) and Commissioning and then lead (hands on) the Maintenance and Operation of all Mechanical equipment e.g. Pumps, pipe / high pressure systems, process equipment. Familiar with relevant industry standards. Expertise in Pump maintenance is essential. Good troubleshooting skills, knowledge of installing, calibration & testing mechanical equipment. Good project administration skill and interpretation of specs, standards and drawings. Requirements: Diploma / degree in Mechanical, Marine, Engineering or equivalent with 2-5 years of working experience in a similar position (C) Electrical Engineers – HV/MV (DES 03-09/15) Job Description: Supervise and co-ordinate installation, testing (supervise final acceptance of electrical works) and commissioning of all electrical equipment. Responsible (hands on) for the Maintenance and Operation of Electrical systems: MV Electrical, Distribution, HV switchgear, Transformers, Motors, MCC VFDs, Calibration/ troubleshooting. Good troubleshooting and maintenance skills, knowledge of installing, calibration and testing electrical equipment. Good interpretation of specs, standards and drawings. Good project Administrations Skills. Requirements: Diploma / degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering with 2-4 years of working experience in a similar position in Industry. Knowledge and maintenance of PLC systems and electronic equipment will be consider an advantage. (C) Plant Operation/ Maintenance Team Members (DES 03-09/14) Job Description: Carry out day to day Plant Operation and Maintenance of a fully automated plant. Will be trained to operate the plant and expected to have technical and maintenance skills. Requirements: High School/College / Diploma in technical or relevant field / Chemistry or relevant process 1-2 yrs. experience of working in mechanical/electrical maintenance teams of industrial plants and/or work in production / process industries. Must be Hands-on and practical, be able to work in team on shift operation and maintenance. Knowledge of English (spoken and written) is essential. Remuneration Salary package will be offered to the successful candidate according to qualifications and experience.
