The Sustainability Assessment Unit fosters sustainability principles in EU policies by developing an integrated assessment framework towards environmental quality and socio-economic viability in the decision making process. The Land Use-based Integrated Sustainability
Assessment modelling platform (LUISA) is one of the infrastructures of the Unit, used for the evaluation of policy options in response to socio-economic scenarios.

The Unit is looking for a modeller and spatial/statistical data analyst who will contribute to the application of LUISA in the exploratory project EREBILAND in support of innovative efficient patterns of regional energy supply and demand in Europe. The approach is based on the granular territorial disaggregation of information, and the development of optimisation scenarios at regional scale based on the concept of dynamic land functions.
