Eligibility:
  1. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has a strategic ambition of being aleading research faculty. Candidate for this fellowship will be selected in accordance with this, and expected to be in the upper segment of their class with respect to academic credentials.
  2. Applicants for a Phd Position must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in the area of computer science.
  3. The ideal candidate would have a background in (some of) the following areas: formal methods, software verification or validation, software product line engineering, and cloud computing.
  4. UiO (and Norway more generally) is a multi-lingual environment, where knowledge of Norwegian is not a necessity in everyday life. However, good command of English is required.

To apply for the above scholarship / award / grant you should submit the following documents and should possess the following:

  • Application letter (this should include a brief statement of why the candidate finds the position to be of special relevance/interest to her/him).
  • CV (summarizing education, positions and academic work – scientific publications).
  • Copies of educational certificates, transcript of records and letters of recommendation.
  • Documentation of english proficency.
  • List of manuscripts, publications or other academic works (no more than 2 in total) that the applicant wishes to be considered by the evaluation committee.
