Your mission
As Mechanical Designer Machines you advice the senior design engineer during the preliminary study and realisation of machinery and installation designs. Your tasks are the following:
- Suggest new development ideas concerning the mechanical design of existing and new machinery
- Elaborate given specifications on the basis of own ideas and fine tune
- Work out complete designs and report to the lead engineer or project manager
- Coordinate between the different subcontractors if the preliminary design is divided into partial designs
- Plan, coordinate and follow-up the draftsmen and the testing
- Ensure an efficent execution of the designs through sound team work
- Give the draftsmen advice during the execution and construction of the project
- Stay up to date about the newest technologies through training courses and transfer this knowledge to the company
- Build a broad network of suppliers and external specialists within your domain of expertise
Your experience
- Master in Mechanics or Electromechanics
- Broad knowledge of different mechanical design techniques
- Clear interest in machine building
- Innovative engineer who can convert new solutions to usable applications
- A customer and cost oriented team player
- Willing to travel on a regular basis
- Fluent in English and Dutch
