Your job
- You will take over the general management of the Heavy Rail office in Brussels which deals with the design of railways (both conventional and HST), with the focus on power supply.
- You are responsible for the general organisation, and for managing the employees and the results of the department (both commercial and financial).
- You are responsible for relations with our main customers, and you develop our commercial network internationally, with the support of our International Business Development team.
- You monitor the publication of invitations to tender for study/engineering projects; you organise the drawing up of offers, and you make sure that high-quality offers are submitted.
- You are prepared to carry out study work yourself, depending on the projects.
- You are responsible for drawing up tender documents and for managing the workload.
- You report directly to the Rail & Road Director.
Qualifications
- You have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in electromechanical engineering, and you have at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
- You have experience with:
- Design and tender documents of rail infrastructure projects
- Project management and monitoring the implementation of rail infrastructure projects
- Leading a team of employees
- Project management and cost estimation
- Working as part of a disciplinary team
- You are a good team player.
- You have strong commercial skills; you are customer-oriented and flexible
- You have good communication skills on different levels
- You are fluent in English. French and Dutch would be a plus.
- You have good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- You have a current driving licence.
