Job description
We are looking for a Program Management Cost Engineer / R&D Controller, who will work inside the Program Management department reporting directly to the Head of Program Management.
He/she will be responsible for:
- defining and maintaining Product Best Competitive Costs metrics,
- deploying Best Competitive Costs practices and targets over the product range,
- coordinating Cost Benchmark analysis developing related methodology procedures and tools.
Role and tasks
- Support Program Manager and Sales for costing/pricing in offer and development phase.
- Develop and maintain cost benchmark (internal/external) database, methodology and tools.
- Develop and maintain standard costs for selected Buy commodities and process.
- Support Purchasing with target costs and breakdown analysis.
- Identify competitive cost gaps and regularly report to Management
Requirements
The ideal candidate has a background in Engineering or Finance or Economics, with minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar roles. Preferably, he/she has an experience in R&D controlling, business line controlling, R&D program management officer, in a multinational & multicultural organization.
Furthermore, it is required:
- English language fluent, a second foreign language is considered a plus.
- Strong knowledge in cost/price concepts. P&L and Finance are a plus.
- Experience in cost analysis. Experiences in purchasing/sourcing and product controlling are a plus.
- Excel advanced.
- Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
