Postdoc Position in Online Algorithms

A CS postdoctoral position in online algorithms is available at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (IMADA), University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark, supported by the Villum Foundation grant "On-Line Algorithms and Advice". It is a one year position starting on 1 September 2015 (somewhat negotiable). 

The project is centered around online algorithms with a special focus on the relatively new framework of advice complexity, see the project homepage  for earlier activities and publications in this project, as well as homepages for the people involved. This is a research position, though there is a possibility of minor teaching or advising responsibilities. 
 
The candidate should have a PhD degree in computer science before the starting date of the position. Research experience at a postdoctoral level is an advantage. A successful candidate should have an excellent research record in algorithms. Experience in online algorithms or approximation algorithms would be an advantage. Fluency in English is required.

The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

• A full list of publications stating the scientific publications on which the applicant wishes to rely.
• A short research statement (max four pages) describing previous and future research interests.
• Names and contact details of two to three researchers willing to write a letter of recommendation upon request.

To qualify you must have passed a PhD or equivalent. Applications will be assessed by an expert assessor/committee. Applicants will be informed of their assessment by the university.
