Role Summary/Purpose:
Position will be a combined ITO and OTR role, providing sale and engineering support for all aspects of extended scope projects.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the combined Distributed Power ITO team's activities for extended scope and turn key projects in the EMEA region;
- Support the Extended Scope OTR team's execution activities. Participate in activities to prepare contractor RFP, bid evaluation and supplier selection;
- Provide technical engineering support including specification review, development of equipment specifications and data sheets, supplier follow-up, drawing reviews and equipment delivery;
- Provide other technical expertise as required by BOP Lead Project Engineers including attending customer meetings.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Position will require familiarity with the design and specification of power plant electrical systems, such as low- and medium voltage distribution systems, GSUs, DC systems, power and instrument cabling, ATEX and IEC norms and standards in general;
- BS Engineering or equivalent degree;
- 5 years relevant experience;
- High energy and excellent communication skills;
- Ability to travel as required both domestic and international;
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics:
- BS Engineering;
- Demonstrated experience with GE aeroderivative and / or gas engines;
- Experience in technical proposal preparation;
- Experience with engineering and construction projects;
- Self starter with ability to complete tasks and projects;
- Fluency in English (writing and speaking);
- Experienced in Autocad, and willingness to learn other programs;
- Proficiency with word processing and spread sheets.
