Key Responsibilities
- Your main priority will be to generate ideas for energy savings onboard our vessels and to develop a new monitoring system to capture same. You will also support and advice our crew onboard our vessels, the operations department and our customers in regards to energy efficiency. You will develop best practices and recommendations in regards to running vessels and their equipment in a fuel efficiency mode. In doing so you must device a system that will improve our consumption monitoring to optimize consumption and create awareness about fuel efficiency;
- You will evaluate and develop equipment together with relevant suppliers to ensure optimal energy performance including exploring opportunities to modify our vessels and equipment for a better energy performance;
- You will keep yourself updated with the latest developments within the area energy efficiency hereunder teaming up with other specialist within and outside the Group as required;
- You will support and advice our technical organization and also new buildings team with regards to the development of vessels and their equipment in order to optimize their use of energy.
Who we are looking for
- You are experienced within the field of energy optimization or a Marine Engineer or Dual Officer with a keen interest in energy efficiency. Either way we prefer candidates with experience within the marine offshore Industry or within the field of energy savings;
- You are focused on getting things done as an individual as well as a team member. Your communication skills are good and you master English verbally and in writing.
