A DOCTORAL CANDIDATE

The candidate will be appointed as a researcher in the area of Building and Solar Energy Technology. The title of the project is: Tackling the Challenges of a Solar-Community concept in High Latitudes, financed by Academy of Finland. The objective of the research is to find scientifically based methodologies and solutions in the implementation of a solar community concept in the Finnish environment. The doctoral candidate works in this project as a researcher and does his doctoral studies at the same time.

The work will be done under supervision of Prof. Kai Sirén.  A one year contract is granted first followed by an extension for two-years, depending on the achievements of the student during the first contractual period.

  • Familiarity with building energy technology, solar applications and energy simulation
  • Language skills: Finnish and/or English

The salary for a doctoral candidate follows the Aalto University salary system.
