As a member of germans Leading-Edge Technology Cluster »Intelligent technical systems – it’s OWL« (www.its-owl.de) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, inIT is responsible for new communication concepts in cyber physical systems.

 

 

The Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences invites applicants for a position at the research institute Institute Industrial IT – inIT in Lemgo as a:

Research Scientist
in the area of Intelligent networked technical systems

initially limited for a period of 3 years.

The candidate will be involved in an international project, where future-orientated solutions for intelligent energy grids (Smart Grids) will be developed. The work will be conducted within an international consortium of experts coming from scientific and industrial domains.

The research area particularly involves following aspects of networked real-time embedded systems:

  • State of the art analysis and definition of requirements
  • Development of novel concepts for intelligent networked technical systems and their prototypical implementation (near-hardware software)
  • Presentations of results at national and international events and conferences

Competences needed for the position:

  • Bachelor/Master degree with focus on engineering sciences
  • Capabilities to pursuit independent research
  • Good knowledge in:
    • Automation systems
    • Computer networks
    • Programming languages
    • Written and spoken English. German language skills are of advantage.
