The University of Stavanger invites applications for a 3-year position as Postdoctoral fellow / Research Fellow in Energy Conversion Systems and Information Communication Technology at the Faculty of Science and Technology in the Department of Petroleum Engineering. The position is vacant from January 1, 2015.
The position is funded by Ministry of Education and Research.
Description
This position is a collaborative project between two research centers at University of Stavanger, namely Centre for Sustainable Energy Solutions (cenSE) and Centre for IP-based Service Innovation (Cipsi). Using operational data from both energy conversion and energy consumption side for real time optimization of the whole energy system requires development of smart data driven and analytic methods and tools. Utilizing the synergies between energy and ICT sector provides opportunities for real time monitoring and control of closely connected and integrated energy systems considering locally available energy sources including intermittent renewables. The current position will contribute to develop needed knowledge for removal of potential pitfalls against deployment of smart and integrated energy systems.

Benefits
The position as Postdoctoral Fellow is salaried according to the State Salary Code, l.pl 17.510, code 1352, ltr. 58, of NOK 491 400 per annum. The Research Fellow is salaried according to the State Salary Code, l.pl 17.515, code 1017, LR 20, ltr 50 of NOK 429 700 per annum. In special cases higher salaries may apply.
