PhD Studentship: Modelling the Salting of Cheese

Massey University

A USA based company is funding a PhD at Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand looking at mathematically modelling the processes that occur during the addition of salt to cheese curd. The student scholarship will pay $35,000 NZ tax free plus the PhD tuition fees for three years. There is also the potential that the student will be offered a job with the company at the end of the project and part of the project will be based in the USA. In New Zealand students are expected to finish their PhD projects within a three year period of full time research.
