Study of metal / carbon joints

The main target is the investigation and the development of innovative solutions for design and assembly for automotive complex products, based on the calculation of 3D tolerance chains. The study of existing state-of-the-art solutions and standards given by the industrial partners for parts, assembly groups, fixtures, and assembly process will be conducted. Moreover, the development of a predictive model for 3D tolerance chains simulation and analysis will be realised. This model will be integrated within the CAD/CAT environment to fit the current industrial design process.
