Research Assistant (M.Sc. thesis worker, printable electronics)
Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering is a scientific teaching and research unit, which aims for high quality research and academic education in close interaction with society. The department has multidisciplinary research groups, which produce significant research results and train Doctors of Technology for high level research and development tasks.
Job description:
The work is a part of Wearable Well-Being (WWB) project. The project focuses on wireless physiological measurement systems. The goal of the project is to develop a multisensorsystem based on novel architecture and platform.
The main focus of the thesis is on fabrication of printed stretchable interconnections and signal characterization in operation environment.
Requirements:
The position is suitable for applicants who are finishing their Master studies in electronics, embedded systems, biomedical engineering, or studies with a multidisciplinary background.
Salary:
The salary will be based on both the job demands and the employee’s personal performance in accordance with the University Salary System. According to the criteria applied to teaching and research staff, the position of a Research Assistant is placed on the job demands level 1. In addition, employees receive performance based salary, which for Research Assistants is based on study credits.
Trial period:
Trial period of three (3) months applies.
Other:
The position will be filled for fixed-term period up to 6 months commencing on 1 February 2015 or as mutually agreed.
