1 Post-Doctoral Research Scholar Position in European Research Council project Within the framework of an ERC starting grant (MORPHOSIS) entitled “Morphing Locally and Globally Structures with Multiscale Intelligence by Mimicking Nature”, one Post-Doctoral Scholar Position (Assegno di Ricerca) with the title: "Elettronica Strecciabile" (Stretchable electronics) is available in the Department of Engineering at the University of Rome, RomaTre.

Description

The project aims at developing innovative bio-inspired morphing materials with the help of a novel multi-scale (from nano to macro) and multi-physics approach. 
ERC starting grants are particularly designed to support the creation of excellent new research teams and are rewarded on a strongly competitive basis.

Applicant eligibility and skills
**
We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with particular inclination toward innovation and crossing disciplinary boundaries. The Researcher will be involved into the development of novel Stretchable Electronics and their applications. Thus, the eligible candidate must have a background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and consolidated experience in at least one of the following fields:

Design, characterization and implementation of: complex electrical/electronic circuits and microdevices (e.g. sensors, MEMS, NEMS with or without nanomaterials), power electronics,organic electronics, signal processing, microcontrollers programming. It is also appreciated knowledge in: nano/microfabrication and testing, printed circuits, piezoelectric polymers/ceramics, smart materials.

Benefits

The contract is for one year, extendible up to 4 years to cover the entire duration of the project. The yearly gross salary is of € 22820 
(approximate net monthly salary € 1400). The health insurance is covered by the social security system.
